It’s been said we never stop learning, which is particularly true at the Towers. We host classes in just about every interest you can imagine through our broad spectrum of on-site community clubs and associations.
If you’re interested in a more formal approach to education, we also offer hundreds of emeritus classes available through nearby Saddleback College. Our Emeritus Program offers education in its truest form for active seniors. These are students in the purest sense. They attend classes on such varied topics as art appreciation, U.S. political issues and conversational Spanish. But their goal is not to earn academic credits or an advanced degree. Rather, they study, explore, discuss and take tests for the sheer joy of learning; for the simple reward of expanding their personal knowledge.
We have nearly 8,500 adults enrolled in the Emeritus Institute, a division of Saddleback College that offers over 100 courses designed to meet the educational needs and desires of seniors. The classes are taught primarily at sites throughout Laguna Woods Village.
A full academic division of Saddleback College -- with its faculty and curriculum held to the same standards as the college -- the Emeritus Institute is one of the finest such programs in the country. In addition to challenging intellectual courses, active adults participate in many hands-on courses such as ceramics, photography, enameling, sculpture, calligraphy, stained glass, textiles, quilting, oil, watercolor and Chinese brush painting.
Whatever your passion in life, come to the Towers and learn something new!
